Description
The Minoan Civilization developed in the island of Crete between around 3500 and 1500 B.C.E. They were contemporaries of the Ancient Egyptians, with whom they practiced trade. Minoan painting has many similarities with the Egyptian. Much of Minoan art was destroyed due to natural disasters (mainly volcanic eruptions). What was left is mostly architecture and ceramics, and they're usually richly painted, which allows us to know quite a bit about Ancient Minoan people, despite all the materials lost.

I tried a different technique, with lines without thickness variation, and flat colors. It looks pretty much a vector drawing, but it's not. I'm not very satisfied with the results though. I think it would look better in traditional media. But I don't feel like drawing all those patterns by hand without recourse to ctrl+Z.
