Hey look everyone, I colored in this lineart [link] of my new TFA character to make it look better! Everything is more fabulous in glorious color!

I also said I would give more info about him in the colored version, so here goes nothin'!

*ahem* Cobalt is a Transformer from the Animated universe that was inspired by my grandpa's awesome 2005 Dodge Dakota double-cab truck. So when Cobalt transforms into his vehicle mode, this is what he would look like: [link] [link]

HNNNGGHHHH SEXY TRUCK IS SEXY Also, you might notice that he is wearing what looks like a cape. This too is inspired by my grandpa's truck, which has a black leather tarp covering the truck-bed. When Cobalt is in robot-mode, as seen here, the tarp attaches to his back in the form of a cape, making him look like a robot Superman! *shot'd*

His laser hook weapon was inspired by the 2009 Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen Optimus Prime, where he used energon hooks in his battle against Megatron, Starscream and Grindor (this dude here who looks like Blackout from the 2007 movie [link] ), and he used said hooks to rip Grindor's head apart, thus killing him. (NOW THAT WAS FUCKING HARDCORE!!! ) Cobalt has laser hooks on both arms, which he can extend to a length of four feet maximum during combat situations.

Moving on to his bio, Cobalt is a Neutral mech, meaning he's neither on the Autobot side or the Decepticon one. This is likely due to the fact that he doesn't like the war that is going on between the 'Bots and 'Cons, and he came to Earth with his best friend Downfall, a seeker who is also on the Neutral side, to escape all the fighting. He has found Earth to be a remarkable place, and he's developed a soft spot for the beauties of nature, prefering to laze about in a park all day than driving out on the streets.

Cobalt used to live on the outer areas of Cybertron prior to coming to Earth, and he became acquainted with Downfall long ago when they met on an asteroid, and they've been friends ever since. Before heading to Earth, they went on a few adventures together, one ending with a close call from a space worm. Luckily, they escaped in a escape pod they had rented, and after relaxing for a bit to unwind from the space worm encounter, they set out again on another adventure, staying on Cybertron for a few vorns before heading to Earth to check the place out. Finding the place quite enjoyable, he plans to stay longer than he had counted on.

Personality-wise, Cobalt is a friendly and open mech, with a likeable and honest disposition. His prefered hobbies are relaxing to good music, eating, and being around nature. Normally he's pretty laid back and not given much to fighting, but if his friends are in danger he won't hesitate to unleash everything he's got in order to protect them. Also, he seems to be quite taken with Nightflash, the younger brother of Freefall. It'll only be a matter of time before things develop between the two, despite Nightflash's extreme shyness.

Well, that's the scoop on Cobalt, at least with what I've gathered so far in my RP with =LadyLadybug , since he's a fairly new character who only showed up and is starting to hang out with Nightflash (who's being so adorably cute/shy that it's caught 'Balt's attention and he already feels protective towards him >3< ), but I'm sure that more to Cobalt's character will come along as the RP progresses. I've already got a couple ideas with him and 'Flash planned, thanks to my brilliant and pervy brain!

Oh, and I want to thank for helping me come up with Cobalt's full-body design. He drew out the rough lineart for 'Balt, and I fixed it up to make it look nice. :3 And yes...somewhere along the way that asshead Sentinel Prime got involved in Cobalt's design, hence the reason he has a similar body sculpt to that dickhead. But thank Primus he isn't a thing at all like Sentinel when it comes to his good looks and his likeable personality!

And to =LadyLadybug ...I expect to see arts of Cobalt real soon from ya, you hear me? Especially of ones with him and Nightflash together!

Also, I guess I should say that me and LadyLadybug aka Asie are co-owners of 'Balt, since Cobalt was my idea and I came up with his design, but Asie is roleplaying him and came up with his personality and little backstory. Downfall is also Asie's character, while Freefall and Nightflash are mine and ~Neko234 's, so don't even get the idea of stealing these guys from us, ya punks! >8I
