Hey Sleyf... Thank you. This is actually my least favorite of my phoenix oil pastels, but I still really love the wings, the blues and the contrast. I really feel I could've done much better on the flow and that stupid feather in the middle is quite distracting, but this was done a year ago. I'm glad you find it beautiful. Always nice to know something we see the fault in isn't so badly regarded by others.

Aw well it's still a great piece for the vibrant contrast and the way it's curled around that orb sometimes the pieces artists hate are the ones everyone else likes

I know you're right.
I have found that true. This may be one of those ones I'll try to replicate each year and see how it changes with my skill level. Color and contrast I do agree and of all the phoenix ones I've done, I really love the wings on this one.

Oh! "The Great Tradition" pieces? The ones you replicate every year! The wings are nice, I like that you can see all the feathers
