Description Jumping back and forth with tattoo ideas lately and considering I've got native Cherokee blood in me and I relate/value their history, I put together this quick piece a while ago. The Cherokees seven pointed star seen above symbolizes the seven clans associated with their people.

Little History Lesson + Why This Is Valuable/Relevant:

"The trail of tears" during the early 1800's was a devastating event for the Native Cherokee people. Andrew Jackson passed the 'Indian Removal Policy' which forced 10's of thousands of Cherokee nation to give up its lands east of the Mississippi River and migrate past Oklahoma. With little/no food, water, clothing, or supplies they marched over 16,000 miles on foot and an estimated 5,000 died from starvation, disease, exhaustion, you name it. During this tragic journey across the states mothers had their children dying with nothing they can do to help. It brought so much pain to they all were crying helplessly as they marched on. It just so happen that the tears from these mother's heartache hit the soil collectively, and within days, if not less, a new flower and miracle following their path had blossomed into what is today known as Georgia's state flower; the Cherokee Rose from the mother's tears. Beautiful White petals, representing peace for them and what they stand for. A vibrant gold center signifying the gold stolen from their former homes. Finally on this miracle Rose are 7 leaves on each stem, which portray their seven clans. To this day that 16,000+ miles of land walked now carries that same Cherokee Rose all throughout that trail.

I'd LOVEEEEEE to incorporate that rose into this piece or another for a potential tattoo concept only because of the strength, courage and humbleness these natives thrive off of. It kinda reminds me in a way no matter how bad a situation may seem things can always be far worse, and you just may have it (life) off easier than another. My native ancestors left me with this: Respect others, stay true to yourself, make the best out of the worst, remain humble, and never forget where you came from. They have proven you can overcome any obstacle so long as your heart remains pure.

SORRY FOR THE LONG STORY. LOLOL
Happy hump day.

Woah, was that drawn on paper then scanned onto a computer? Also, follow up question: If so, did you draw over your original drawing?
