Description
I carved this from applewood shooters that grew from an old tree in my back yard in western Washington.In private collection.

No. I used files, an x-acto and a pencil. That was pretty much it. Applewood is reasonably soft given my first hooks were made from bone.

Presumably the person that bought it has. It's a stipulation that they must use the hooks they buy at least once even if it is just to hook a chain. All the hooks I have made for myself, I have used and love them.
