Backstory:

She was born as the second daughter and child of Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy. Fluttershy had a very difficult pregnancy, Candy was born 2 months early. The doctors said she and the baby might not survive the birth, but heroically, both of them lived.

The reason why Candy Cloud has her name is because her mothers thought that her mane went around her head like cotton candy but instead of naming her ‘’Cotton Candy’’ they named her ‘’Candy Cloud’’.
Candy had a relatively happy childhood, full of sweets and taking care of fluffy critters. At school, Candy was viewed as the class clown, being the pony to always make jokes and brighten up everyone's day. Even though, she was a C student grade-wise, although she hung out with the class' top students, Crystal Darlene and Solaria. Candy was a part of the popular girls squad.

When she was 8 her family went to the Rainbow Falls trading fare. Candy wandered off somewhere and saw a hooded pony at the edge of the fair, at a small stand with three books. They offered Candy the books for free and Candy accepted. She blinked and in a second, the trader was gone. When she brought the books home she opened them but they were all written in a strange language. Well, two of them were, the third one was written in old-ponish which she was studying in school. From that day Candy tried being more careful in old-ponish class. She quickly understood that all of the books contained black magic. For some reason she was intrigued. Over the years she would try to understand the first one and she has made lots of progress, even learning a few easy spells from the other books. Of course nopony knows about her secret hobby. Not even her family or her closests friends.

At the age of 10 Candy signed up for Magic Mark Camp. One of the activities one day was gemstone collecting. Although nopony got a magic mark in that Candy made sure to keep a very specific type of a gem she found. Another activity later that day was cotton candy making. Candy tried to go as further from the other foals and the teachers as possible so she could perform her black magic spell at peace. She crushed the gems to pieces and combiened them with the cotton mixture. She prepared her cotton candy and when she was done it was different than the others’. A few ponies got a bite from it and it suddenly made them feel very euphoric. All ponies tried her cotton candy and when she saw everypony being happy she noticed a light from behind her. She turned around, looked at her flank and saw that there was a magic mark there. After the teachers noticed that she had been free to go home but she decided not to since all of her friends were there.

Currently, Candy is a happy 13-year-old filly who is going to graduate soon. After her graduation she has already decided she is going to work in family business and help her mother, Pinkie Pie, at the bakery, since she’s very good at baking.

Personality:

On the surface level Candy is a very sweet and innocent filly. She is a lot like Pinkie in a way except she is not as big of a party animal as her. Candy is rather introverted and even prefers to bake by herself. A trait that you just can’t miss about Candy Cloud is her optimism. No matter what happens she will say ‘’at least’’ and turn the situation around. She always sees the light at the end of the tunnel no matter how small it is. Candy is a curious pony, who loves to study, or at least, study subjects she is interested in. She is more intelligent than, most ponies give her credit for, but she never voices her anger to ponies, who call her stupid. She also has the habit of bottling her emotions, even though, she would ever explode in public. Even though, she is smarter than she appears, and has an open mind to learning new things, she can often be naive at times, underestimating how bad a situation is, due to her optimism.

Relationships:

Fluttershy and Pinkie Pie: She loves both of them a lot but she likes Pinkie a bit more. Fluttershy tends to be a little overprotective of Candy, which annoys her.

Flutter Balloon: Candy and FB are BSF a.k.a. Best Sisters Forever. anyThey love each other very much, they can always rely on each other if they need thing and they rarely have conflicts. When they do it’s usually because Flutter has the same issue like Fluttershy- being overprotective over her little sister.

Crystal Darlene: When Candy was a baby, Rarity would often drop off Crystal at Pinkie’s and that’s how a bond between them was created that could never be broken. Candy knows Crystal is going through a lot problems in her head and at her home so she always tries to cheer her up. Crystal too gets a little overprotective of Candy but she has no problem with it.

Dark Sunset: He one of her sister’s best friends. He often came over at her house so that’s how they met. Dark Sunset was a bit of a troublemaker. Candy liked that and he even thaught her how to pull pranks. Dark is one of the few ponies Candy feels like she can be herself around.

Gallion: Another friend Candy met through her sister. At the moment before the story Candy doesn’t have much of a relationship with him but things change after the second chapter. For Candy likes to keep him around because she knows he knows old-ponish and she often takes lessons from him.

Solaria: Solaria was the pony who converted Candy to bullying. In a lot of ways she sees herself as her since she tends to get a little manipulative at times too. However she knows there is a huge difference between them and Candy would never turn into her. The two of them are secretly suspecting that they are faking their innocence which they are correct about.
