My unmasked version of Jack (yeah I’m not original but I have this vision since my childhood ^^”)
I can imagine the fact that he can't really be separated from his mask when he takes it off and it floats around him linked by its magic.

In the lost chapters, we know we need 3 souls of heroes using the Jack’s mask for open the Bronze Gate aaaaaaaaaaaaaand
I just see Jack can only eat human souls to survive and keep his physical body immortal.
