Description I'm doing a research paper on Herge for my history of modern art class, and coincidentally I saw the Tintin movie recently. I just fell in love with this character and had to draw him.

Artwork is mine. Tintin and Snowy belong to Herge.

Ah look at that Some belgian historic treasure that actually broke through. ^^ You should watch the series or read the comics though. They're far better then the movie. Far more detail and such. ^^ I grew up as a kid watching these on TV. Herge was probably a big part in the lives of many kids around here. You could learn a lot about other cultures through the series. ^^ I loved that about it. And of course "Bobby" which Hollywood dared to call "snowy" or some such nonsence.... >_> That's probably one of the 2 things i don't like what hollywood did to Herge's work. The other one being, the weird pronunciation of his name. The english version of his name "Tintin" makes me shiver to the bones when english speaking say it...)

But still very happy that it broke through ^^

Wow really the dog's name isn't Snowy? And how is Tintin pronounced? And for that matter how is Herge pronounced? XD I keep pronouncing his name "Hair-GAY."

Omg, let's see. I can't write phonetic, so euhm HergΓ© is somewhat like "Hair-Gay" but saying it rather fast, not pulling the vocals too long.

"Tintin" is now pronounced "tin-tin" (like they say tin, copper, metal). His name really should be pronounced like "Tan-Tan" (like when you say tattering). ^^

And the dog "snowy", actually get's a different name in every other language. His original name is Milou. We call him Bobby. ^^ That's basically how they're famous around here.

o man i love tintin. i was kind of disappointed with the way the animation looked for the movie (i didnt see it tho); im not a fan of that realistic-cartoon cg animation. :/
