AMAZING. I love the black and white; it contrasts just right with the orange glasses!

Hey yorkey-sa! Now I've heard you've requested a critique from the lovely people at *devCRIT , so here it is...
Firstly, I'd like to say how fantastic this piece is and you can instantly see how much time and effort has gone into producing it. This makes it quite difficult to critique and to find flaws (which is really what a critic does unfortunately!), but I've done my best and here are my comments;
The piece is very detailed with certain areas really standing out. The fabric on her t-shirt, her face, jewellery and hand are very realistic and I personally think these sections are the ones your most comfortable painting. However the main part which I feel needs some work is the hair, as it seems a little 'all over the place'. Chances are that was the idea but finished it looks rather rushed and less detailed than the rest of the piece. I'd recommend perhaps doing a hair study, in which you choose a subject with quite a bit of hair detail and see if you can replicate it. Theres a nice little tutorial here by artist Linda Bergkvist if that helps!
The only other aspect I'd like to comment on is a kind of personal choice really. I feel that the glasses are a little too low down on her face. To be honest the glasses could be in the extact same position on the reference image (if you used one that is) as the finished painted piece. Sometimes even though you replicate a piece exactly, some aspects may seem slightly off, something you can get a lot with figures; arm and leg placement for example. I said this is a personal choice above, as if they look fine to you then there's no need to worry about it!
I hope that helps and keep up the good work!

Oh also I've just realised that I completely forgot to mention that the orange tint added to the glasses was a very clever idea and it really makes the whole image pop!
