Description Lors d'une rencontre entre amis en Seine et Marne (77), le 25 février 2008, j'ai eu l'occasion de prendre une petite photo de famille. Au milieu, c'est ma petite Cheyenne (tricolore) ; à gauche c'est ma Yukari (fauve charbonné, la maman de Cheyenne, et à droite c'est Varenne (tricolore), le papa de Cheyenne.

I've taken this family portrait during a meeting with friends and their shelties in Seine et Marne (France) on February 25th 2008. In the middle you can see my little Cheyenne (tricolor) ; on the left side of the pic it's my Yukari (shaded sable), Cheyenne's mother, and on the right side it's Varenne (tricolor), Cheyenne's father.

I got my first sheltie girl back to 1992, when I was 12, and I kept growing more in love with the breed since... I've got two sheltie websites:

- Lovely Shelties (www.lovelyshelties.com) which is a general site on the breed. It's in French but there are lots of pictures.

- Shelindalë (www.shelindale-shelties.com), which is dedicated to my little breeding (I'm not breeding anylonger for the moment, as my Yukari had to be spayed for health reasons, and my little Cheyenne had hereditary orthopedic problems).

Thanks! She's from my very first litter. Her full name is Black Cheyenne Moonsong of Shelindalë. You can find my website here (sorry, I haven't had time to transate it yet): [link]

Sadly, life (or rather genetics) wasn't very kind to her: she had to be operated a first time in January 2007 because she had the legg perthes calvé disease on her left femoral head... and she was operated again on last Wednesday (April 16th 2008) for her bilateral pattelar luxation.

Fortunately, the operation went very well and she's doing good, and can already walk again, though we have to keep it short. She has to stay quiet for 40 days. She's a very joyful, very lively girl so it helps to keep the moral good.

Hehe, elle a même réussi à attendrir "le Père", alors pour ça, faut pas être seulement à moitié mignonne ! (Bon, je reconnais qu'elle a aussi son côté casse-c... euh "casse-bonbons' quand elle veut ! )

C'est pas juste un côté chiante. C'est sa face cachée, sa vrai personnalité cachée derrière une petite tête de pelluche innocente pour tromper l'ennemie.
