Description
The sun began to set on the almost-empty streets of Tokyo. A woman then appeared from out of an alleyway, a shadowy figure chasing her. The woman had to stop & rest, holding her midsection with both hands. She was heavily pregnant, and her belly made it harder for her to run. The creature appeared from the shadow of a building in front of the woman, revealing to be a roach-like creature, with 8 spider legs & 1 eye at the center of its head, dark energy emitting from its body & looking like it came straight from a nightmare. The creature crept closer & closer until, the woman not being able to get away from it. Then…

*Slash* A blade had cut through its 2 front legs, causing it to screech in pain. A male high schooler with a sword drew his sword towards the monster, a female high schooler going to the woman to check on her & the baby. “Are you alright, ma’am?” The girl asked. “I-I’m fine… But, who are you 2?” The woman puzzled. “I’m Izuna, over there is my closest friend Jinzou. We’re Yokai hunters. And that thing over there…” She points to the monster as she draws her sword from the sheath on her back. “Is about to be Yokai sushi. Can you get to a safe distance?” The woman slowly nodded as she waddled to a nearby building.

Izuna & Jinzou both tried ganging up on the Yokai, managing to get a few good hits on it. “W-What’s going on?… Why can’t I regenerate?!” The Yokai questioned. “These swords were made for destroying Yokai… You stand no chance.” Izuna answered. “No… THOSE swords?! It couldn’t be!” The monster seemed to recognize the swords, and then teleported away out of fear. “Darn, he got away!” “At least that woman’s okay…. Wait, we need to check on her!”Both of the went towards the woman, holding her belly with both hands.

“Ah, good, you’re safe… Is the baby alright?” “Safe and sound… Thank you both for saving me. As a gift of gratitude… Would you both like to feel my stomach?” She took both hands off her belly, letting them have room to feel. Both were a little taken aback from her offer, but didn’t refuse. They both gently placed a hand onto her belly. Her belly suddenly moved towards both of their hands. They moved back, a bit surprised at the movement. The woman chuckles. “It’s okay… it seems the little one is thanking you as well. Ah, wait! I forgot to introduce myself: I’m Zhao Nijime.” Both then said it was nice to meet her. “Anyways, I must be getting home. It was a pleasure meeting both of you!” She waved to both of them as she walked away. Izuna sighs with a smile. “Another day in the life of a Yokai hunter.” “You said it… Want to hang out a bit before it gets too late?” Jinzou asked. “Sure! My place?” “If it’s cool with your parents.”

Both of them made their way to Izuna’s house, Izuna using her key to open the door. Her father & mother were sitting on the couch, watching TV. “Ah, Jinzou. What brings you here?” Mr Hazuki questioned. “Izuna was wondering if we could hang out here for a bit.” Izuna’s parents agreed that they could hang out, and the 2 teens went up to Izuna’s room. They watched a bit of TV, even watching videos on it that they laughed about. After a video, and after they finished laughing, both blushed as they noticed how close they were to each other. “I-Um… that was a funny video.” Jinzou said as he tried breaking the tension. “Y-Yeah…” Izuna said. Jinzou slowly leaned in, and.. *kiss* He kisses Izuna. Izuna blushed hard, not knowing how to react, but slightly kissed back. Jinzou then pulled away, realizing what happened. “O-Oh! I’m sorry!” He said while blushing. “I-I didn’t mean to-“ “I-It’s fine… it was just so sudden.” She said while still blushing. “I gotta go, before it gets too late out there. I’ll see you at school tomorrow, bye!” He left the room in a hurry, feeling embarrassed about the kiss. Izuna almost stopped him, but decided not to.

Later that night, when everyone in the Hazuki household fell asleep, Izuna was thinking about what happened before Jinzou left while she slept. Suddenly, a blue, ethereal ball of light phased through her bedroom window. It floated towards Izuna, then phased into her covers. Her belly glowed blue as the light went into her stomach, but her belly turned back to normal after a few seconds. At least, it’d be normal for now…

The next day, Jinzou was walking back home from school. He was worried that Izuna hadn’t shown up. He didn’t know if she fell ill, or if he had scared her off belly kissing her last night. He kept pondering until his cell phone rang. He got it from his pocket, and saw that it was Izuna calling him. He answered the phone, relieved that Izuna was able to call him, or even wanted to call him.

“Izuna, are you okay? I haven’t seen you at school all day.” “J-Jinzou… c-could you come over, please?” He could hear over the phone how scared Izuna sounded. “I’m on my way.” He ended the call, dashing to her house. He saw that her parents were still at work, due to their cars not being in the parking lot. He knocked on the door, and Izuna said that the door was unlocked, and for him to come up to her room. He walked up the stairs to her room, and saw her sitting on the bed, looking worried. He then noticed something different about her: her belly had become massive. “W-What’s that?” “J-Jinzou… Something’s wrong with me…”
