Odd, I just finished my Sophmore year today. Well, I got to go back tommorrow for 10 minutes to get a piece of paper signed, but besides that....

I live in the mountains of North Carolina, so if there's any amount of snow it's very risky to run the buses (lotsa hills and sharp turns. A couple cliffs too). As a result we have a lot of snow days. So they start school earlier to help cut back on that.
