It seems like they're becoming a trend on DA. I don't care if you hate something, but it seems like most stamps that are popular right now have to do with hating things. That's kind of odd... and unsettling. Hate is a normal human emotion, but for it to be trendy? Hmmm... :/Related content

Some of them, not allΒ are butthurt. And of course, even though hate is a "waste of time," there's nothing anyone can do to completely stop it. Hate will still exist in everyone.

People need to grow up and act like adults.
Drug cartels, murderers, KKK, Nazism, wars, disasters like earthquakes, tsunamis, tornados, cyber bullying, bullying, bank robberies, terrorism, Malaysia plane shot down are a lot worst than somebody liking this certain hobby, show, movie, anime, cartoon, book, fandom, game, music, character, etc... and etc... What matters if they're nice and not causing harm.

I think when people hate on things like fictional characters, a certain music genre, a certain book or movie is pathetic -__- They have every right to express why they dislike a certain thing but I dislike it when they go on and on and on about the things they hate, constantly making hate stamps for them and hate art.

Because really they are everywhere, like seriously I dont give a shit if you hate something that is loved by a great amount of people, and really why do people take the time to post them and share their hate with everyone else! Worst thing about hate stamps is that they come up when you're searching for something you like. I was looking for Beatles stamps the other day and I found a "The Beatles are Overrated" stamp that upset me...

This is so true! I agree with some commenters that hate stamps are bullying devices....
And it angers me that they get loads of faves, while positive stamps become rarer and rarer and some of them even get their comments disabled because the owners fear being trolled because of what they support! ThatΒ΄s just sad.... Because hate only causes pain and anger! WhatΒ΄s wrong with spreading love and positivity?
I myself also donΒ΄t like certain things, but I keep my hate for myself instead of making stamps like "xxxx is shit" or "xxxx is overrated"..... If I dislike something, why would I even look at nor comment it?
IΒ΄m planning to make a stamp that supports Suzie TempletonΒ΄s animated version of "Peter and the Wolf" because IΒ΄ve seen not a single fan stamp for it on DA (that film is awesome but very underappreciated!) , so I think itΒ΄s time to change that... Umm...if you actually look at the statistics for more anti-stamps vs. most pro stamps, you'll find that anti-stamps are the more popular of the two of them. They can amass untold hundreds of faves without even being submitted to all that many groups. The trick for becoming popular is just hate on a clique everybody enjoys hating on and antagonizing, like furries, "rabid" bronies, "wolfaboos," etc. and watch the mindless faves pour in. Most pro stamps, on the other hand, seem to be lucky if they get over a hundred faves, and if the stamp is supporting something that is widely bashed on the internet, the comments might even need to be disabled to discourage trolls and flamers. At least that's what I've found, and I think it's quite sad and more than a little unfair.

well I've found the opposite actually.
I've seen so many pro stamps everywhere, none of which had disabled comments. Everyone was showing their support, giving positive feedback, etc.
On the other hand, a lot of the anti-stamps I've seen had pro-(insert topic stamp is bashing)s giving the artist bullshit. a lot of the anti stamps I've seen have disabled comments unlike what you said about pro stamps.
At least that's what I've found.

It's like everything i type into that search bar somehow has a army of hate stamps to accompanied to the searched object / artform / subject.

I dislike them too. Mainly because they lead to online arguing and possibly bullying.
One of the main reasons I joined this site was because at the time, hatemail was at a minimum, it made a change from all the comment wars on youtube.
Sadly, dA is being filled with the same comment wars as youtube, often over trivial things, hate stamps only make this worse. I too am sick of people disturbing the peace.
