Description My boys are finally starting to realize the consequences of their previous actions and how it affects them. <3

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Delmar sighed hopelessly.
“I wanted to prove myself, I wanted to show you I weren't weak.” it sounded so stupid, so disgraceful. “I was jealous of you.”
Reed looked calmly but still upset at him.
“You did it to impress me?” he asked dubious.
“Not just you, everyone that ever called me weak…”
Delmar sat quiet for a while before he continued.
“I thought that if I killed enough shifters with a stronger element power than me, maybe…” he couldn't finish that sentence, he heard how awful it sounded himself. “What have I've done?” he cried and buried his face in his palms yet again, crying loudly and uncontrollably.
“Fuck, Terra was right about you all along. This is my fault as well.” Reed mumbled quietly and regretfully. The last couple of decades had Terra started to question Reed and to blame him for Delmar's criminal career to make him stop hunting after the ice shifter. Before Delmar had started killing people she had tried to make Reed apologize to him several times.
“You’re right, I'm insane, I can't even give you a proper reason.” Delmar sulked, he hadn't heard Reed's last commentary.
Surprised Delmar felt Reed hug him. Just like he had hugged Ramsey whenever he failed on the training floor and fell into tears. Reed held him tight letting him cry out in his arms. Delmar sulked into his chest and clung onto him. The realization of what his actions actually had been hit him harder than he ever thought was possible. Delmar let all the repressed emotions out at once. Reed just held him through his whole break-down.
“If I hadn't been so mean, you hadn't turned out like this.” Reed mumbled. Delmar didn't hear him though, as he was crying loudly.
They just sat there for a while. Delmar didn't think too much about who he was hugging, he was just happy to get some sympathy.

After a couple of minutes he started to calm down again. Reed held him softly and stroke him over his head and soft ears. He had never imagined that Reed would ever try to comfort him like this. He appreciated it, even though it was weird. He wasn't used to body contact with the fire shifter by other than violence. It wasn't so bad, Reed was pleasingly warm and smelled nice.
“I can't punish you, you're already paroled. But at least I can make you regret your actions.” Reed said softly. He took Delmar’s head between his hands and looked him in his eyes.
“I need that murderous son of a bitch a little bit longer. I need you to work with me Delmar. We need to take out Dark Matter.”
“No one is ever going to forgive me, I doomed myself.” Delmar answered crying.
“People have been pardoned for worse crimes. Most elders have done something horrible sometime. But it's going to take time. Wounds like these don't heal overnight.” Reed wiped away some tears with his thumbs from his cheeks before he let go of Delmar’s head. “Hey, this isn't like you. I've never seen this side of you. What happened to the crazy ass dog?”
“I just… I don't know…”

Complete chapter

Delmar's storyline part 51 - RemedyDelmar walked into the electrical faction with Reed, Dakota and the rest of the interrogation team closely following his tail. The electrical agents had brought someone in who they needed help to interrogate. Normally he would have protested loudly about going here but things had changed lately. He wasn't there as a criminal, he was there because they had asked for his help. He knew the drill by now, he was the king of interrogations. He was the devil and he was there to sentence the rebel to hell.
They went into a large computer hall. A soft noise of buttons being pressed echoed in the room. So, this was where the electrical faction attempted to control criminals like himself?
The room was filled with various shifters, some in human form and other in animal forms. Many were sitting in front of computers, no matter what form they had, typing away or reading intensely on reports. Some glanced at him as he went past them. He could hear their thoughts and tell they knew who he was.
