Have you ever read anything that made you grow as a person?Have you ever been touched by the individual and collective struggles of characters within a work of fiction to the point where it inspired you to alter your ways and become better than you already are?
I sometimes have moments where I suddenly rediscover my profound love for this manga and it summons an overwhelming rush of inspiration from the depths of my heart and mind. I can't possibly explain it beyond simply "this is objectively the best manga out there and nothing compares".
If you haven't already, read Berserk. Even if you don't read manga, read Berserk. If you're tempted to watch the Berserk anime, don't. READ Berserk.
I've been meaning to draw Guts for a while and it's been a tough time. Trying to channel Guts's emotions was a challenge and I still have yet to get the hang of it. I've been getting closer and closer with capturing the qualities of each character I draw in my recent Berserk artwork but I feel like this Guts is my favorite tribute to the manga thus far. Really overjoyed that my attempts at capturing Miura's artistic vision are at least solid.
Sorry I'm gushing so bad but I hold Berserk in extremely high esteem. It has some kinda next level place in my kokoro.

It's safe to say that Berserk is likely my favorite piece of writing and art out of everything I've seen thus far. I'm really glad someone else feels that. ;v;
Farnese is freaky. I love her to bits. I'm not sure how Miura managed to redeem such an unlikable character but he did it and I love her now. Bless.

Berserk is just an amazing thing. It's such a special piece of media.
I've been drawing Guts day in and out just to make a portable shrine for him and I don't even get tired of it haha.
Miura is an amazing writer, that's why. Even Guts might've been unlikable if we didn't know what he went through and what made him this way.
Farnese is also a character where he showed how broken and fragile she was and that's what redeemed her. She's weak and she's just now realizing that she can be strong as well. I love her to bits.

Ahah I just keep collecting Berserk merch out the ass and drawing fanart non stop. It really doesn't get tiring to be obsessed with. I still love the series with the same intensity as before. It's like a drug you don't ever get a tolerance for.
Miura's actually really interesting cuz he doesn't actually plan ahead on what he's writing. He's admit to writing Berserk as he draws it so he literally has no clue what'll happen next. When he started making Berserk, the Band of the Hawk wasn't even an idea that crossed his mind. Guy's a genius and a nut.
Farnese definitely has a lot of strength in her weakness and it overjoys me to see her try her best to overcome herself and be of use to the team. Schierke is my favorite girl though. -v-
