Wow! I just stumbled on your story and I'm not a Sess/Kag fan but this is amazing. Good artwork. I really like your style. Really captures the anime style even though it's a different story. And I really love that you keep everybody in character. Whether i's a fanfic or douijinshi most people make Sesshomaru so soft and romantic, which he is not.
As I fanfic writer myself that really bugs me. Sesshomaru is not a nice guy.
You did a good job!
Without losing his true character you found a perfect way to show his softer side. That is not easy to do. I'm working on my own Sessh/Kag fanfic on FF.net to see if I can write out of my comfort zone and do a pairing that I don't like. And while working on it and getting ideas it alterd my perspective on the whole Sess/Kag idea. It is plausible under the right circumstances. And your story certainly falls in that category.

Sesshy: No, the umbrella...it stinks of your scent. Which makes me think of all the rain. *wonders if he smells like wet dog now? Sniff sniff* uh... and the rain is too sweet and makes everything all soggy and gets everywhere.... and...*wonders why she is turning red and crossing her arms like that*
Kagome: You think I stink?!
Sesshy: No. The umbrella is the apple. And the rain it confuses me and smells like you. Just like the apple reminds me of you... and the rain...and the umbrella..and..hm..
Kagome: I see that wasn't an insult. You need to come with me quicky!!! *gets him under a tree and shoves a thermometer in his mouth. Puts a cool clothe on his forehead and checks his pulse*
Sesshy: *blank stare*
Kagome: *smells something burning*
Sesshy: *laughs histerically* (the umbrella is burned to ash my poison claws)
Sesshy:*sturnly looks at Kagome* The umbrella wasn't more powerful than me! The apple is gone!!!
Kagome: *turns to her trusty sack and pushes an apple into Sesshy's mouth*
Sesshy: *STARES AT KAGOME!!!*
The umbrella is quite strong with you.*the cries into Kagome's shoulder as she pats his head and looks for more medicine*
Kagome: * he is clearly insane *

Lol? Whether that was amusing to anyone else or not. That is the (clearly absurdand yet slightly comical) defeat that image he feels over the dagnab umbrella. Kagome!!! Leave Sesshy alone! He is obviously more frail of mind that we ever imaged! The umbrella defeated him!!!! The umbrelllllllla!
