I had this weird lil headcannon story for Kankri. One I will share with you after I freak out....

Ok. So I started this because of... headcannon story. The story is pretty much how Kankri grew up without getting adopted by an older troll because of his blood color. Not because they were all scared, but because they figured he would've died young and possibly have highly unstable psychic powers. Of course, neither of these things happened so he grew up unadopted, only let out when he was old enough to care for himself. He had trouble finding jobs and a place to stay, all for relatively the same reason. As a result, he grew up being almost hyper aware of his own "handicaps" as well as others. He started trying to others about how they needed to be more accepting of other's differences. Started trying to make a difference. Unfortunately, he got involved with people who were a bit too sensitive about the differences they sought to bring awareness too. He picked up the habit of sugar coating issues, stating his sources, the relevance of things and so on, thinking that these things were things everyone wanted to know instead of a select few. When people started tuning him out he became detached. No one was willing to talk with him, making him kind of jaded when he tried so hard to be heard and to make a difference among his fellow trolls. This eventually turned into him being full of himself, convinced that they all just didn't know better and it was his job to educate in order to make a difference.

It just kept going on like that for a long time, even in death.

The picture is kindda how I imagined him before he seriously got overly concerned with triggering people and needing to explain every little detail. I imagine that he was actually a good speaker, someone who could connect to trolls on some level. Before people started shutting him out and he talked at length to make sure he got a word in. This is probably the Kankri Porrim and the others first met and briefly got to know before he became detached and full of himself. At least that's what I think...

I imagine, when he was a little younger, he was a very passionate troll. :3
