For my Duke of Edinburgh Silver Expedition, I cycled with a few other guys around the North of Northern Ireland. This was the camp site we stayed in, a real quaint wee farm with dogs, cats and spring lambs running about

Gah D of E... I did it up to Silver, all four expeditions were horrible lol at first it was great to see more of the countryside, but the burning pain in our feet and shoulders soon took away from that... walking with giant heavy bags isn't really my thing lol

I love hiking but I agree, heavy bags kind of detract from the enjoyment of exploring a new area.
