Antasma x Reader

With a soft sigh you climb into the fluffy abyss you call a bed. All thoughts leave your mind as your head rests upon the soft pillow. Soon after you start to drift slowly into slumber. The comforting numbness envelopes your mind. You have been waiting for this all day. Though it wasn't just sleep you longed for, it was also the meeting of someone you knew all to well.

Your eyes open to a new scene. The woods were surprisingly bright this night. The moon was full, which caused anything the silvery beams touched to illuminate. It was a beautiful sight. Save the fact that this was a dream and not true nature.

As you expected, another presence joined yours within the dream. The once bright scenery was now cast over with a dark, shadowy haze. Even though you were use to this, the shift still caused your hair to stand on end and your skin to prickle.
You crossed your arms over your chest tightly. It was getting cold and you, standing there in only pajamas, were definitely feeling the chill. If this were still your dream, you'd be able to imagine a warmer attire. But that's the thing. You don't have control now. This wasn't YOUR dream anymore. It was his, and he had full control.
Slowly, you look over your shoulder. He was right there. You feel your heart start to race as your gaze meets his. It seemed like an eternity had passed since the two of you last met, when in all actuality it had been only a day.
In all his glory, the Bat King was indeed terrifying. He was dark.
A nightmare.
You turn your body to face him. He had moved closer while you had been lost in thought. Looking up, your eyes meet his again. He looked you over, noticing your arms wrapped tightly around yourself. You shivered slightly. The temperature was dropping the longer he was here.
"You're cold?" He more stated than asked. You averted your gaze to the side and nodded in reply. You couldn't help but be shy around him. He was Antasma the Bat King. The eater of nightmares. And you were just you. Why he fancied you over anyone else was beyond you.
You were ripped from your thoughts when a pair of furry arms wrapped around you, along with the sides of a purple cape. You looked up at Antasma. Who in return smiled slightly.
"You think too much." He said as he pulled you even closer. With a smile and a small blush, you wrapped your arms around him and lay your head on his chest. A soft, low purr was heard soon after.
You two stayed like that for a while. Neither of of you wanting this beautiful nightmare to end. But soon the morning sun arose, bringing with it a new day. Not many words were spoken that night, but as always, a promise was made to meet again.
And it was a promise you would forever keep.
