Description

Jason Oak is a young boy from Hiletopia and the best friend of Amelia Bluebell. After his home was destroyed by Zyonn, he fled with Amelia and the Skylars on their airship to rescue the town from the Dragon Pirates. He now lives on Valrethia with his mother, Melody, and goes on adventures with the Skylars on their airship and the rest of Guild Valor.

PHYSICAL APPEARANCE:
Jason is a young boy about 4'7" tall and weighs 94 pounds. He is a Caucasian with a rounded face and bright brown eyes. His caramel colored hair is about chin length and is very messy, with his shaggy bangs and spiked ends. He wears a light brown safari hat and almost never takes it off. It was a gift from his father and he holds it dear to his heart, or his head! He wears a white T-shirt and yellow vest. He wears a blue bandana around his neck and light brown leather bands on his wrists. He has long light brown jeans, with a brown belt with a gold buckle, and brown lowtop shoes.

PERSONALITY:

Jason is an adventurer at heart. He's honest, upbeat, and brave. He is incredibly curious, excitable, and even impenitent. He has a free spirit that loves to explore and experience. He's not one to back down from a challenge. Jason is super athletic and love sports and the outdoors. He is extremely caring and kindhearted, to strangers and friends. Jason is fiercely loyal to his loved ones and always puts others above himself. Jason is all about teamwork, he hates working alone and is always with friends. While he's not much of a leader, Jason is willing to do anything for the team, even if he has to get a little rough.

Jason is really hard to break down, he's a pure optimist. However, he is very emotional. And while he's happy most of the time, he's also prone to being scared or angry. He has lots of fears and secrets, but is only willing to share those with Amelia or his parents. And while not stupid, Jason will often follow his heart over his mind, which sometimes leads to mistakes. Jason may be an excitable and free-spirited young man, he's also very impatient. He often rushes into things without thinking to much. He sometimes talks way too much and likes to jump ahead too often before really thinking. Jason's positive attitude can get annoying to others, but he doesn't care as long as he and his friends are happy.

But despite his impatient, ambitious, and impulsive personality, Jason is very smart and loves to study. He adores reading and writing, and when he's not going on exciting adventures or with his friends, he's often face-deep in a book. Whether it be action adventures, mysteries, geography atlases, or science books, Jason loves to get lost in a good book. He also likes to write his own fun little stories and makes sure to write in his journal every night. Jason also loves playing on his ukulele and making up his own songs, especially when Amelia sings with him. Jason has a strong hatred for crooks and criminals, especially pirates. Basically anyone with a screwed-up sense of moral or lack of kindness. He doesn't like to fight, but won't hold back dishing out some pain on those who he feels deserves it. Jason also has a secret fear of monsters and demons, but won't tell anyone except Amelia or his mother about it. His dream is to one day travel all of Hiletopia, with his best friend Amelia by his side.

RELATIONSHIPS:
Family:
Jason's mother is Melody. She deeply loves her son with all her heart, but often worries to much about him. And is never afraid to speak her mind, and will scold or punish her son when she feels fit. Jason's father also loves Jason very much, but he's often away on business trips and adventures. He is a professional knight, and will often be gone for days, weeks, or even months at a time. However, Jason's father does send him gifts, telling him about his epic travels through letters. Jason admires his father very much, and wishes to be just like him one day.

Friends and Comrades:
Amelia is Jason's best friend, of course. They've known each other ever since they were toddlers. They do everything together and care for each other like siblings. The Skylar family are friends to him as well. He loves the Skylars and respects them a lot. He admires Sorkin and considers him a role model of sorts, almost like family. He also is friends with all the members of Guild Valor, as he respects the heroes of the guild and cares for each of them. Jason finds himself with many friends due to his positivity and helpfulness.

Enemies:
Zyonn for one. Jason not only hates Zyonn, but is also somewhat afraid of him, due to his threatening presence, scary appearance, raw power, and the fact he tried to kill him and Amelia. He hates all the pirates under Zyonn's command. He just can't understand why someone would side with such an evil monster. He hates anyone who hurts or insults his friends, family, or fellow guild members.

COMBAT:
Jason isn't super strong, he's just a twelve-year-old boy after all, but he is skilled in hand-to-hand combat. He's quick on his feet and he's a high jumper, making him hard to catch. Jason is quite tough and sturdy, not letting go or giving up on anything, especially fights. Jason can take quite the beating, though he's not invincible. He has a lot of energy and stamina, meaning he can fight for a long time. He's clueless when it comes to magic, though. He can't use it and is not strong against it. Jason, while not the clearest thinker, he is a quick thinker and often comes up with new backup plans when the first on fails. He's not super strong, but he can fight for himself and is NOT a boy you should mess with.

Jason's main weapon is a sword. It's made out of iron and the handle is simple brown leather. He got it from a ruined weapon shop when Zyonn invaded Felicity Isle. It's dented and a little rusty, but still works great. He's not the most skilled with it, but he's always practicing and learning about new sword skills. Jason always keeps his sword close on adventures, just in case.
