Dear everyone,

Hey, I know we're all going through a rough time right now. Life's not too cool at the moment and we're all hurt and scared. And I know there's a certain company out there I'm related to that is doing vile things that no amount of magic can really stop. I know it seems there's not a lot we can do, but that's not true. We can still do good in this world despite the bleakness of it all. Throughout my life I have been fighting off dark forces. Ever since the day I was born, I was sorta destined to be this "ray of hope", shining light throughout the darkness. I've fought monsters, traveled across dangerous lands, been imprisoned, been stripped of my powers, forced to fight in arenas, and faced down literal nightmares. I admit, I'm scared sometimes. There's days where I fear I am not enough. I feel like sometimes an adventure will be my last, like it's the end. There's days where I feel weak, useless, like a waste of magic. There's days where I feel like it's game over.

But you have to remember this.

No matter how bleak it gets, no matter how much you think it can't get any better, it can. But it won't get better overnight. We have to fight for a brighter future. We need to help those in need, support those who need the support, spread love to the unloved, take care of the world, the people who live in it, and ourselves. We can't just sit around, hoping for things to get better, because we have the potential to be heroes. Make the world you want to live in. Act like the person you want others to be like. Be the change the world needs. We need more people like you in this world: kind, strong, helpful, wonderful people. You gotta remain strong, you gotta have hope. Because as scary as the world can be sometimes, the world has so many awesome things and people in it that it's worth fighting against the bad stuff for. We gotta make it through the hard times in order to make the celebration afterwards that much sweeter. To me at least, friendship and laughter are more important than anything else, as the greatest victory is measured by the extent of the celebrations that follow it.

To me, you guys make everyday a reason to celebrate. So in a way, everyday is my birthday! Thanks for 25 amazing ones!

It's the 25th anniversary of the Rayman series. My favorite video game franchise. I feel this day is important to me. Rayman has made me the person I am today: I have made unforgettable friends in the fandom, I have discovered a sense of belonging, I have learn various life lessons, I have learned to expand my creative side to new horizons, many of my art, music, and stories are inspired by Rayman and his world, and overall, Rayman has helped me discover who I am as a person. I thank this series for so much. I simply cannot put into words how simply magical this video game series is to me, and for that, I give it all my thanks. I would have never guessed how much joy, wonder, discovery, insight, companionship, life lessons, and hope I would find in this silly and quirky French platformer starring a dude with no neck, arms, and legs. But I am forever grateful that I did.
