Royal or Rebel? REBEL. Serene is a rebel because she doesn't conform to the traditional expectations of her siren heritage. Sirens have the power to use their voices to enchant and control people, and they have a special connection to the ocean. She was afraid of using her powers and her voice because she didn't want to cause harm to others.

Serene Oceanheart had always been afraid of the water, not because of drowning but because of luring people in. She knew that her singing voice could lure people in, and she didn't want to be responsible for anyone getting hurt. So she stayed away from the water as much as possible.

One day, while she was walking, she heard someone crying out for help in the water. She knew she couldn't just stand there and watch, so she decided to use her singing voice to help. She sang a song that was soft and gentle, but also strong and powerful. The person in the water heard her voice and started swimming towards the shore.

The person was a sailor named Jack Hook, Son of Captain Hook, and he was so grateful for Serene saving his life.
