I he indeed could teleport, couldn't that have saved him a lot of trouble? I thought he was just using illusions to make it seem like he teleported (of course, even then, he could have created one before being locked up, so the illusion would be locked up or something).
(Oh, and please change the title to "Fury" or the interpretations could vary. ^^

Not really, if you think about it. He WANTED to be exactly where he was, he needed to be there for his plans to work, so it would have made no sense for him to leave before he did.
But yes, Loki should be able to teleport - amongst many other things - , so it was rather naive of Fury to think that a cage like that could hold him I think. Loki's magic is rather impressive, even if they don't play it up too much in the movies.

Yup, he could have done that also, but as I said before, he needed to be locked up so the Avengers would play right into his hands.

Well, he was caught off-guard against the Hulk, and after his defeat, I think he knew too, that the only person who could save him from Thanos's wrath, was Odin himself, so being brought back to Asgard is probably the best thing that could have happened to him.
