There's a new avatar so in order for Korra to be alive, Aang died. Katara is the only one that's left alive because the fortune teller said she would die shortly after her 3rd great-grandchild was born I believe.

I agree with you on that. I would have liked to see a sequel of Aang, Zuko and the rest of the gaang building Republic City as adults and see any trouble they may have come across during that time. Yet I like korra with her personality so similar to Katara's and the new pairings people are coming up with.

Why can't you? Katara was in the first episode and I think they'll show flashbacks of the original characters.

its just, they were supposed to stay together. forever. never leave each others side. and i just cant get used to no aang or sokka or toph or suki or mai or katara with aang. it saddens the very depths of my soul....... I loved this show very much and this kills me. {please don't think im crazy}

I don't think you're crazy Everyone loved that show and when I found out about the new avatar, I flipped out because I knew that everyone had to be dead. Like I said before, I would have love to see the struggles building Republic City and the world after a long war. But who knows, maybe we'll see flashbacks of Aang as an adult with his kids or him talking to Korra.

Well I found out that there will be a book series coming out about the Gaang's life after Aang defeated Ozai and are working to restore peace. I read the first six pages and actually read the first book I believe. I found it online though.
