hide the scars.
The soft pillow,
cradle one's head;
hold the tears.
Run.
But the demons catch up;
every time.
You were there.
So close.
Your back against mine,
save for the brick wall.
A plea for "that one chance";
to love.
To know what it is.
To learn about it.
A saying,
That we discover who God is
when we come to the realization
that one has no need
for God.
Perhaps for us too.
We will be ready for each other
when we find that
we have no need
for
each other.
