I wanted a break from all the pieces that focused on peril, fighting and scheming, and, instead, focus on something light and fluffy for once. Now, as much as I'm familiar with shipping (if you've seen my gallery, then you know I've got a soft spot for it), it's only been recently since I've discovered crossover ships. Or rather, I'd heard of them, but never given them much thought until recently.
Now, people absolutely love Pixar's Coco, and people absolutely love pairing Miguel with characters outside of Coco. Mirabel from Encanto, Penny from Bolt, and, of course, Hiro from Big Hero 6.
So much Hiroguel...
Me? Just for fun, I've found myself becoming fond of pairing him with Riley from Inside Out. Honestly, for the longest time, I never saw the appeal around the character of Riley, or why she got so much fanart and such. In the movie, she's essentially a vehicle for her emotions to have their story, and her role boils down to having angst over moving house until her emotions stop her from making the biggest mistake of her life. However, the more time has went off after watching Inside Out (which was immediately after Coco, I may add) I've come to see her character more than what I initially saw.
Here they both are cutting a rug on the dance floor, probably how I see Miguel and Riley meeting for the first time. Maybe these two were meant for each other, or maybe it's un poco loco...
