I know! Its been a year now sense I started to really know and they still won't listen. Fortunately I have a few incredibly supportive friends in the same boat and actually a girlfriend sooo ya! Just beat someone in a debate. She was trying to use hate as a tool for anti-hunting debating. I don't like hunting but that kind of hate was wrong. She tried to make it personal, then blocked me and retreated under her rock. People got to realize only reason triumphs over hate.

I wouldn't say I'm proud to be gay on its own. I'm proud that I had the courage to come out of the closet in a closed minded world. I'm proud of my allied friends for standing by my side even though they get ridiculed for being friends with the queer kid. I'm proud of my parents for supporting me despite growing up in a conservative world. I'm proud of anyone who has the courage to stand up for what they think is right, in this case, LGBTQ rights in a world that is far from accepting. That's why we're proud.Β
