On that day the Lord made a covenant with Abram and said, “To your descendants I give this land, from the river of Egypt to the great river, the Euphrates — the land of the Kenites, Kenizzites, Kadmonites, Hittites, Perizzites, Rephaites, Amorites, Canaanites, Girgashites and Jebusites.”

King Uzziah suppressed his pride and didn't enter Temple to burn the incense on the altar. The Lord was pleased with this and blessed Uzziah to become a ruler over many peoples, to conquer with sword and to dominate and avenge his ancestors who were humiliated by other nations such as Egypt and people of Mesopotamia. This marks the beginning of conquests of Uzziah. First, under his rule was unified Canaan. Then Syria and Mesopotamia with the help of Elam and Madai, and, finally, he led a war against Egypt, a country in which Jews were slaves once.
