I was messing with flash a little today and this is what I came up with. Flash is fun after all
HOW THIS WORKS:
1) Roll your mouse over this and see what happens
2) When you roll over, klick your mouse and roll on, the bar stands still until you roll over again

I'm no expert in flash, in fact i've no idea on how you did this, but as you say your doing a online portfolio, if you need any tip/help just ask.
Let's say i can't do a capuccino but i make

just happened to see this had been commented on on the 'Today' page - really very fun and suggests an interesting thread - what if the background that scrolls were images and this act revealed some sequence sort of randomly .

Just 2 layers. One for the background (rainbow) the second is for white lines
