Finally got a chance to sit down with my son and work on his battleship again. The old Alabama is slowly starting to look like herself in Great White Fleet colors. Being the dumbass that I am, I somehow managed to lose a few parts on the bare tile floor, but the guys at Iron Shipwrights have the best customer service you’re ever likely to find: one phone call and they shipped me some free replacement parts, plus a couple of other spares, free of charge. Still a lot of deck details that need to be painted and mounted, but there’s progress.
