a lot of people have staircase shots like this (me included) but very few know how to do it right. this is just great, it looks very abstract and moody and perfect in b/w, nicely done

See it's these kinds of pictures that make photographers great. When a person tries to really look at this picture and try to figure out at what perspective it originally is, but each time they think they've got it, there is something contrary screwing the whole sense of place up, making you look again and again and again and again trying to find it until your brain hurts, and you just give up and decide this picture kicks ass. Wonderful shot.

Really cool shot. Like how you can only see down likea floor. Like you are heading down into the unknown, the abyss. Maybe it is sort of like time. The moment you live in is clear for the most part, and the near future is pretty much the same way. BUt the futher into the future you get the less clear things become. Till you have no idea what to expect. +fav

Ooh nice geometry. Really like all the lines. And the lines of the tiles seem to echo the bigger lines. Starting to feel a bit dizzy now. Great shot indeed.

I like the way the rectacular structure of stairs appears distorted. The semi-circle of shadow around the black hole in the center looks great.

Perhaps a clichΓ©d photograph, however yours is different. Your version is quite an optical illusion, as I originally thought the stairs were upside down.

oh wow, this is great! I took a similar pic when I was in Berlin -just that I was looking up instead. I was fascinated with the way it starts with a square and just goes into these crazy angles.
