Description
Makuta Firon was a side project of a few Makuta on a deserted outpost, after Makuta Thollokus’ creation was a success, he was the second artificial Makuta to be created and got the Mask of kinetics, which would charge him, everytime, a force was affecting his body. He was much more confident than his older “brother”, but much shorter and less powerful. he wasn’t even capable of shadow powers in the slightest. to even it out, his creator gave his immense physical strength and a Nynrah Ghost Blaster on his back. At first, Firon was just assigned for training in physical combat and was overall just intended as body guard for Icarax, who shortly rejected him, after he created a rahi, to do this job instead and more efficent. Firon was frustrated about this and destroyed the Rahi out of anger. only thanks to Makuta Krika, Firon’s life was spared. from now on, he got missions, which only involved beating Toa, like literally. which he didn’t really manage, because the Toa had an advantage called “elemental powers”. he didn’t question why he needed to fight Toa. he believed “the person of higher authority is always right and that is the reason they are the highest authority in the first place.”
Firon was now determined to learn how to use shadow powers and even managed to activate them. but even after that, he was still the weakest on this area, in the whole brotherhood. So instead, he commissioned a Xian weapon-smith to craft him flame-claws, which would use kinetic powers, to enflame his now giant fists. the more he swung them, the hotter they became. he also bought a shield and used it to catch every punch there, to minimize damage on his body while still being able to give a punch back. he also bought a blade, in case there was no such opportunity, to catch a perfect punch. unfortunately, he got into debt, because he bought on credit and was unable to pay back. but thanks to a bunch of Rahkshi, his debts were nullified. even though, he wasn’t ok with this, the members of the brotherhood just told him to shut his mouth. Firon actually wanted to pay the bank back in work, since it didn’t made sense to him to just take things without giving something back. no matter what his arguments were, they refused to listen.
While Teridax was plotting against Mata Nui, Firon was assigned to all kinds of assassinations. although, he now did eliminate his opponents, he never assassinated anybody. because he was never a type of guy, who kept things in secret, he fought his targets in public, since he didn't want to come off as a coward. he was hard to intimidate and managed to put a fight against the other Makuta. he even managed to use his Kanohi against Shadow-hands. He would only kill people, who have been confirmed of wrong-doing. Tridax tried to convince him that the Toa were actually evil. however, ever since Firon never remembered any Toa he encountered, doing reprehensible acts that he knew of, he refused to cooperate. While he fought the Toa at the beginning out of pure obedience, the story with the Xian Salesman put a dent of doubt in his heart. Tridax' only solution was having Firon kill Evil Toa, who decided to work with the Brotherhood, for various reasons. several of these Toa were murderers.
Firon agreed to kill those Toa. However, in one case, he encountered a Toa of Psyonics, who tried to protect her brother from his justice. Firon tried to argue that the Toa had it coming, if Firon would execute him. Firon expected her to fight him. he would have no qualms killing her, since he would see it as assissting a criminal, which, in turn would make her a criminal, as well.
but instead she cried and begged for mercy. Firon was troubled. that's nothing he has ever encountered before. somebody pleading genuinely for the life of somebody who deserved to die. Firon was in conflict.
He decided to spare the life of the criminal Toa. To this day, he doesn't know why he did. And for the first time in his life: he lied. he told everyone that he killed the Toa, while knowing very well that he didn't do it.
Firon still wanted to work for the Brotherhood and hoped to convince them to drop their plans of conquest, since he knew these people for his whole life. but after he saw what occured after a few weeks of his last assignment, Teridax disappearing and just sending vague messages, more and more Makuta disappearing as well and the storms of Karda Nui, he realized what was actually going on and gathered all other Makuta breedlings, to escape the facility on destral.
they all sought shelter in a cave and stayed there until Teridax was killed by the moon.
then like all beings, Firon migrated to Spherus Magna and took a job as mercenary by a strange being, named “the one who came from shadow”.
he also began to stroll through the deserts of Bara Magna and enlisted some stray skrall for his “army”, consisting of two soldiers.
Firon has a will of iron and always seeks for recognition, mainly because he felt under-appreciated in the time in the Brotherhood.
some members of the Brotherhood used to think that his shadow powers were so low, because he never felt anything like fear, jealousy or greed, which were, according to them, essential for shadow powers. Firon developed a sense of justice throughout his life and wouldn’t hesitate to get his form of justice through. being the most active of the bunch, he always acted like the leader of the other artifcial Makuta. discussing with him is difficult, since he usually isn’t willing to admit it if he’s wrong, since he associates it with a failure that invalidates all his values as a person.
