we dont need to be near each other to record albums. thanks to the magical powers of the internet, we can send the audio tracks back and forth while i mix it all together. i have some awesome audio mixing software on my computer. the only time we would need to be near each other is for the live shows, and those can wait until we have made enough money from album sales.

Its fine. You can actually find small amps online for pretty cheap. Bigger amp doesn't nessearily mean better quality. I have found some cheap small amps that are actually of decent quality.

A real good basic one should be about 80$, I use an Ibanez SDGR series bass which cost me about 240$. Personally, to start off using a Fender, they're cheap, not too hard to maintain, and they'll last you a while. Now if you don't mind me asking, why did you decide to play bass?

I prefer to call you Yue, maybe since I too use a nickname, the (self proclaimed) Brown Fluffy Filipino Panda, hence the little panda in my gallery holding the guitar. I'll be frank, it's super easy to play the bass if you set your mind to it. I self taught myself how to play bass because I needed to play for my high school's Filipino club, I had to learn to play Pinoy Ako by Orange and Lemons. Pretty sure you know it, being Filipino and all. I fell in love with the sound... you'll get that feeling. I mean if you'd like and if you're willing to, I'm actually looking for a bassist for my band, M1911, maybe we can do an online thing if you're willing. I'd also be willing to help you in anyway possible.
