Hey there, I am here for ProjectComment 's tag game - my tag word is "female".

This picture caught my interest because of the cute female character. And I like her hat - I have a thing for such hats, even if I can't wear them without looking silly. But the girl here looks adorable with it :3
I also like the overall color scheme of the piece with reds and purples. But I have to admit I am not overly fond of the yellow pullover. Maybe because yellow is one of my least favorite colors (and it is difficult to handle). But that is really just a personal nitpicking thing and is not taking away anything from the picture.
The shading and coloring of her skin is also really lovely. Shading with purple is a good idea since it adds depth. Maybe try to be a little more daring and add some darker shadows (says the person who is also always scared to shade too much).

Two suggestions for further improvement would also be: maybe try more "varied" outlining? You did it awesomely in the hair with varied line-strength, maybe try to use that in the other outline regions, too? Like for her hat and pullover?
And the pullover and hat don't seem to have any shadings. Now this could be part of the style of the piece, but it is something that caught my eye.

But overall this is a charming little character portrait. I like the border with the circle - a good way to limit a bust without letting it look like "nah, I didn't want to draw more" (something I often struggle with).

I did a little digging through your gallery.
 I like your work. I am at the point of learning, and trying to let go of technical drawing skills in favor of artistic pursuit. The thing you have done here; a stylized person who is recognizable, reproducible and has enough identity to be herself is one of the goals I work towards. 
I think one o the biggest successes of this piece, along with Jane, and Odd, is the way you bring the viewer right back to her eyes. they are not the most striking color on the page, but we are left wondering what she is entranced by. Capturing the viewer with a question is a huge coup 'de grace in a site as big as dA with so many things competing for our attention.
 
I like the fact that the circles are imperfect, and you chose to retain the marker & pencil strokes in the finished work [seems her personality would be ok with not having the edges polished.]

My thought on room for improvement is really rather minor: you did well with shading her neck and facial contours, but the shadowing, or lack of shadowing from her hair is an opportunity to add another layer of dimension. realizing this is a post of older work, I know you may have already incorporated similar ideas into your current work.

I like to begin my critiques with a little hint of the motivation that lead me to chose your piece. This this is really simple: the circle on the background is something I use a lot, too.
I literally fell in love with the color combination, even though I think you could have saturated it a little more, like you did with the hair.
Anatomy doesn't seem to  have major flaws, a part from the ear anatomy, and the earring is too much simplified. For the rest I really think you did a great job and also your signature is so original!

 first of all i'd like to say that this is a very nice drawing! I love the colors you used as well as the way you applied them. The lineart is really good as well;i love the way you did the nose -it looks really cute- while the eyebrow placemet along with the piercings give a kind of wild look to her.
If you were to improve one thing at this, in my opinion, it would be the shading. I can see you put a nice color on the cheeks and top of the neck, so you could do the same with the clothes and hair as well to give some depth to it and make it more vivid as a whole. Of course i noticed it's not that recent and that you've improved a lot by then but still, i hope my advice helped you, even a little bit; i mean it's an amazing work overall! Keep it up!

I really like the colours, they fit super well together and make the drawing pop.
The background really makes the drawing look amazing. I honestly cannot see anything I don't like in this, its just really amazing
