So, I bought these in Unity thinking I would be able to export the models to use as obj's in another program but I seem to either be having issues exporting them or maybe that's just not do able through unity and I have misunderstood? Is there any assistance you can lend?

You don't have to export anything.
You just have to import them in a new/empty project (so they will be decompressed) then you look for the project folder in your windows explorer (or similar) and you will find the files (meshes and textures) there (in subfolders).

I'm working on it.
But if you don't want to wait something like 2 weeks (or more if Epicgame takes its time to validate it),
you can buy it on Unity, import the asset in a new Unity project, then import the models & textures from the project folder (in windows) into your UE4 project.
Then you create the 2 materials needed and apply them to the models.
Files are FBX (meshes) & TGA (textures) so they are fully compatible with UE4 and are not encrypted in Unity. So it's very easy to find them.
