"Mom..." Speedy blinked the tears from his eyes and looked up at the warm, smiling face of the Typhlosion holding him lovingly in her arms. "H-how did you... what are you doing here?"

The Typhlosion didn't answer, instead bringing her face down to nuzzle Speedy on the cheek.

"We... really missed you, son." the Houndoom said softly. "We thought you... well, I guess it doesn't really matter what we thought; we're all back together now."

Speedy squirmed out of his mother's arms and dropped into the snow, then scurried back several feet. Evan floated down next to him, still holding the egg wrapped up in the bag.

"Hey, so uh... what's going on here?"

"Uh, well..." Speedy looked back up at his parents. "Mom, Dad... this is my best friend, Evan. He's also my partner in our merchant team, and we've been doing perfectly fine on our own."

The Houndoom smiled. "Well, that's great!" He bent down and happily stuck his face close to Evan, who cowered behind his mask, dropping the egg bag in the process. "Nice to meet you, little buddy! My name is Marrow. Such a delight to have our son back and meet a friend of his!"

"Dear, you're scaring him." The Typhlosion picked up the terrified Yamask and hugged him tight. A searing pain shot through his head as she nuzzled him. He finally managed to wriggle out of her arms and plop into the snow, panting.

"Oh, I'm sorry, sweetie." The Typhlosion bent down and smiled. "I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Cecile, Speedy's mother."

Speedy smiled at his parents nervously. "You know, it's been a busy day for all of us. We, uh... really should get home and get some rest."
