What can I say? After HUGE disappointment called Preston Garvey, Paladin Danse (whom I didn't quite like at first) bravely fought his way to my heart and reached the point where I became a little obsessed.Ad victoriam!

For Some Reason Though: If I'm Playing As Alistair Crowley: Fast Travel Is Disabled (Killed Shaun (The Actual Shaun, Which Calls Himself "Father") On Sight), And All That's Said To Danse, If I Try To Interact With Him, While Playing As Crowley Is Just Him Saying: " I Need You To Get Out Of Your Power Armor", When He Already Is.

Any Chance Have You Turned On The BOS?
(I Managed To Get Him Out Of His Power Armor, After I Betrayed The BOS (At Max Affinity (+Romance Dialogue Choice (He May Not Be A Companion For Alistair Crowley (My 1rst Playthrough Character, Based Off Of Someone, That's Mentioned In Games + Shows That Usually Involves Evil) ; But He Still Gives Some Benefits ; Even If He's In His Underwear, No Hood, And Out Of His Suit, Which Is Now Owned By Tony Sovaldi, In That Playthrough)
(Also I Read That After Blind Betrayal: He's Counted As A Minuteman, Even Though He Still Has His BOS Lines)

No, I haven't turned on the BoS. When Danse was accompanying me they were hostile, but when I had someone else BoS was still friendly. I took Minuteman route during my playthrough. Everybody loved me accept the Institute.

I don't know..... something about how he opens up and you can't romance him anyway..... he's like your best friend.
Danse can be a bit.....BOS for me sometimes. But boy howdy, Danse was my first romance in FO4

I installed the mod where when he's kicked out of the BoS the lines where he glorifies the BoS are no longer available and if you romance him he more often uses the romantic lines. So his behaviour is more natural - he no longer acts like if he was part of the Brotherhood and he treats his lover with more affection. Anyway, I probably didn't spend enough time with Deacon to appreciate him more as a character.

Damn that is gorgeous. Watched my hubby play through Fallout 4 when it first came out, and I thought Danse was just a one time quest related NPC. So glad I found out he's actually a companion.

Yeah, he's a great companion - he has all you need - by default well equipped and tough, and if you give him upgraded gear he's one man army; interesting background, great plot twist when it comes to personal quest line and great character development.... and very handsome. Can you ask for more?

Well, as in description I didn't like him much at first. He was aaaaaaaaaaall about the Brotherhood, making you a good soldier, growling things like: don't you have a mission to do, soldier? But soon when you talk to scribe Haylen then when he talks to you it turns out he's so harsh because he really cares about his comrades. He's going to teach you everything he knows and turn you into killing machine because this is the only way he can be sure you're going to be safe.
So, yeah, there's a lot of: if you hoard that trash you're going to slow us down; standing here in the open is not safe; you should rethink your tactics... but it's not being grumpy or annoying., this is giving a good advice.
And the cuttiest thing ever is when you can FINALLY romance him he is still the same tough paladin but sometimes forgets to stay in the role - his face brightens and his voice is melting when he says how happy he is... only to tell you moment later that "our relationship should not effect our mission!"

Yes, you are definitely right about all of that. Don't take my saying that he's an asshole as me not appreciating his reasons for being such a hardass about being a good soldier. It's very touching, in a strange way, how he shows he cares about you. It also explains why he loves it when you mod your weapons and armor; it means you are improving your means of keeping yourself alive, and taking it seriously.

Well, a little spoiler here, you need to complete his personal quest line first to unlock the romance option at all, and you'll never reach the highest level of approval without solving that either. AND his quest is unlocked while progressing BoS main quest, which I did when I was lvl 50! Yeah, you can laugh, but I simply didn't know and I was like: Danse! Y U NO LOVE MEEEEEEEEEEEE?! most of my game.

Yeah, I found that out when the big twist about Danse was spoiled for me, hehe. My husband managed to successfully flirt with him early on in his second playthrough since his charisma is so high... damn him..
I'm at level 55, and I haven't even done the quest to find Virgil yet, LOL. I really do wish that they hadn't locked his max affinity behind Blind Betrayal, though.. that kinda irks me since after that, the BoS is instantly hostile towards him when you take him places, and I would like to try and do the Minutemen ending where I don't have to destroy any factions, the Institute aside.

Well I managed that. Nuked Institute with Minutemen, both BoS and Railroad grumpy but alive. Maxon doesn't speak too me, but it's probably because I broke Bunker Hill Battle quest, sort off, and it looks like Maxon got stuck in that stage. I can do some quests for the Brotherhood though and for the Railroad. I even CAN hunt down BoS patrols for the Railroad as long as I have Danse as companion, cause THEY attack first so it doesn't count as me being hostile. So I can still complete the quest and be BoS friendly the moment I dismiss Danse. Seriously chain of quests is so bugged in Fallout 4!
If you want I can tell you what to do not to be forced to destroy BoS or Railroad.

Oh haha. I was originally going to go with the RR ending, but I've come to care too much for some of the BoS members, and they aren't all horrible zealots. And I could never bring myself to kill Scribe Haylen.. 
That would be most helpful. Most of the info I've been getting is conflicted as hell..

Yeah, I think most of them are normal people. Considering the state of the world they live in, thought of joining the Brotherhood must be very tempting.
