What began to put me off ESO was that sneaking is broken, you could be sneaking around with the eye symbol fully closed and npcs would still see you like nothing, which made quest were you had to stalk someone to be a pain, cuz you could never tell which distance was safe and when he could see you. You either failedΒ because he saw you, or because you were far too behind. Only through luck was I able to clear those.

I haven't played ESO, but at least its not in Skyrim where you could be 'sneaking' right in front of someone's eyes

They kinda nerf sneaking to the ground from their experience with Skyrim. Even with max sneaking bonus for nightblade, you can't even sneak with enemy 5 feet away from you in ESO, they all have magical radar...
