the helm itself was first covered in a filler type spray (I'll have to go check the spray can later, I can't exactly remember what it was called) but it basically filled in most of the bumps and gaps, and it could be sanded too. The spray paint I used though also had some kind of finish included in it, so I'll have to double check that too.
bondo was used on the swords though.

oh XD that was totally unintentional then, I just crouched down in front of cause I thought it would make for a better shot then me just standing next to her.I dunno, sorta like "the patron warrior bows before its namesake" sorta deal, if that made any sense.

hmm..well I started the helm back in february, and finished it like a day before I debuted the whole thing. But I worked on it off and on, so I can't really say it took an entire 3 months to do. There is at least 10+ hours put into constructing the helm alone though.

thanks! the helm is definitely my favorite part of the costume, and the swords are fun to pose with XD

Did it work? Were you able to escape recognition?

I look forward to seeing your updates on this already EPIC costume!! I'm always impressed by your creativity when creating original versions of character. I respect people who put a lot of thought into the process!

Also, I'm curious - what color are you going to use for tsukamaki (hilt wrapping)? I think a bright blue would really make the eyes on the helm stand out. :3

lol XD I don't think he even went, and if he did, I either a)didn't recognize him, or b)he didn't recognize me. either way I have escaped for now >D

thanks! I did put a lot of thought into coming up with the armor, tried to include as many aspects of Slifer's form into it. The other two Legendary Egyptian Gods are more "armorized" in appearance than Slifer is so it was a bit tricky, but I'm happy I was able to pull it off.

Wow you pretty much nailed the color I was going to use for the hilt wrapping XD. I was actually going to add tassels to the ends of the hilts too.
