Ahhh look at that wild hair!
I'm glad I had the perfect color for it at home as it's hard to get but it was much so straight. So I knitted it, boiled it and ripped it open and voilΓ‘--wavy hair...ehm yarn. 
As you can tell, I had a lot of fun with this one.
The only thing that gets on my nerve here is that the color of Merida's dress looks so totally different, much more greenish in real than in this photo. =/

I didn't know you could boil the yarn to make it stay wavy. I thought you just had to knit it and wait forever...I guess you learn something new everyday.

I work a lot with hot water. To straighten doll legs (you won't believe how bow legged some dolls arrive here

I've done this too! I remade one of my first dolls, Duo Maxwell, a year or two after making the first one. The difference was amazing!
