...or, Steelminds parents. Pfffff, I dunno, they are supposed to be some sort of high classed Seekers, and real patriots to the Seeker cause. They have no names up till now, and they only call each other "Dear", "My Lady/My Sire".Eons Ago and characters- ~YukiOni

So this is what Steelmind's parents look like. It'll be nice to read more about them in the new comic and what their relationship with their sons was like. Probably not the very best since Metalclaw ran away and become a grounder and Steelmind most likely developed the split personality because of his relationship with them and among other factors. But we'll all know soon enough.

Yeah, and look how much the mother is a spitting image of Steel! Is it for the good or for the WORSE when it comes how Steel feels about his parents? We know that he's very, very eager to make them happy.

Yes I did notice some key features right away that Steelmind got from his mom and I think he got a little from his dad too. But that does bring up a good question if his close resemblance to them has anything to do with it. And you're right that Steelmind was willing to do anything to make his parents happy even at the cost of his own happiness. It's one reason why Steelmind wanted to go through with the arrange marriage even though Starscream, while he cared for him, didn't love Steelmind back and even Steelmind eventually realized that he was truly in love with Shockwave. Heck, he wanted to go through with it even though by that point his parents were dead.
That sort of thinking is very unhealthy and it would be even more so on a young sparkling. But why would Steelmind go though such lengths to make his parents happy even when they're dead? Was he given a lot of expectations? Did his brother eventually running away have anything to do with it? So many questions and possibilities.

Well, the parents was really, really disappointed in Metalclaw, and they put all the responsibility on Steel, as if he could fix their broken family-thread. And, after years of mental abuse and high responsibilities, he snapped.

That's awful. Putting all of that pressure and responsibility on a young sparkling and doing so for years. It's no wonder he eventually snap and Mind came into the picture.

So the parents may have been crazy too in a way? I wonder if mental diseases ran in the family in one form or another.

I kinda wonder if they are siblings or not, still hasn't decided...

They may have been siblings? I'm guessing this family was traditional and powerful in a sense. So arrange bondings between cousins or even siblings probably weren't uncommon to keep the blood line pure in a sense. Almost like how most royal familes did back in the day in a sense, correct?
That is if you do decide to make them siblings.

Who knows but that certainly would make things all the more interesting. Or if you don't want Steelmind or Starscream to be related you could have it so that Starscream's family was also powerful and maybe influential. Steelmind's parents probably saw potential and thought adding Starscream's bloodline into their own would create what they would consider strong sparklings and such. Or however such beliefs would go. Up to you.

Well, here goes;
You remember Lord Skyshock? He was the father of Shockwave. He was a good friend with Steelminds father, and he really really wanted their families to form an union, so he wanted his son Shockwave to marry with the noble, young Steelmind. He didn't have high thoughts about Metalclaw,- who as a Seeker had another name, which also means that Metalclaw became interested in Shockwave and became one of his suitors AFTER he's been reborn. He really wanted Shockwave and Steelmind to marry.
But Steelminds father said no to his friend, because he didn't want his youngest son, which he treasured more than his older, to be wed with someone else than a Seeker. So if his father would've said yes, then SteelShock would have bonded a long, long time ago.

Oh wow! That's amazing and if they had bonded earlier then they would have been a lot happier too. Man I wonder what would have happened if that had happened that way. But that is awesome and to think they had been connected this whole time in a sense. Like destiny trying to correct itself.
