... is none. Nothing at all.HA! My Espeon Lucius from my Nuzlocke OCT is laughing internally and is somewhat more thankful to the world, cause at least he isn't a Sylveon, cause dear ARCEUS, pink, ribbons, and bows? WHAT WAS KEN SUGIMORI THINKING?
It feels as if it was made to make fangirls squeal and giggle amongst themselves how absolutly cute it is. But darn that crap, I feel extremely bad for all the male Sylveons out there. All 87.5% of them.
OMGOSH THANK YOU GUYS SO MUCH, this is my most commented drawing! I'm glad you guys agree with its message, and it seems like its almost ready to beat my favorites record too.
EDIT AND NOW ITS ALSO MY MOST FAVORITED WHAT THE HECK IS THIS CRAP? And somebody extremely famous must have faved this or else I wouldn't be getting so many views even now. Dear Arceus, I truthfully wonder who the crap is that person and give him/her a freaking llama badge or something...

This is disgusting. You don't have to gender things and at the same time be pretty homophobic, or well the comments are. Sylveon is a gorgeous sweet pokemon and the reason it looks like that is because it's a fairy and it's the pokemon of love and intertwining.Β
No need to go into gender roles. This is really offensive and downright rude. Good for the little guy he gets to have pink ribbons and all that. He can take down big ass "OH SO MANLY MALE" dragons easy.
Also the reason most eevees are males is because eevees are rare and if you are a pokemon breeder, you know the struggle of finding a female eevee to use for breeding. Otherwise just try and catch a ditto. It's the same reason why starter pokemon are mainly male, to make them hard to breed.Β

you know, i showed sylveon to my mom and she looked at it and said "now that is super girly" i think one of the reasons why it was this way is probably to make it wanted by girls, after all ken sugimori actually did not design sylveon at all. I also agree that espeon as a species is compatable with both genders especially if you know how skinny characters are that have psychic powers. in a book i have for drawing people it shows these guys being like twigs. this also being the reason probably for how skinny it is. plus purple is not restricted to girls as that would be hypocritical towards everybody who was a king hundreds of years ago. purple is a royal color, it shows authority, kings wear purple. espeon is also a cat and if your cat is healthy and at a good weight they usually look like a string bean.

What's wrong with that? My Sylveon is male, which only makes things much more interesting (fanfic wise).
Try looking at this the other way round, like Granbull, which is quite a manly pokemon, but are most likely female, but also Gyarados, Mr. Mime, Stoutland and many of the fighting types. Would you say that they are any feminine, despite they can be female?

I'ma guess that in order to get a sylveon your eevee needs to be that low percentage of females and know a certain move or something, like covet or charm. But naturally I could be wrong.

Sylveon is cute but I agree that it isn't exactly gender neutral like the other Eveelutions which did make me mad. I would have liked it better without the bows and maybe be okay with the ribbons if placed properly. Main issue with them is what someone else pointed out with the fact that in order for those bows and ribbons to exist it would mean they're part of Sylveon's flesh... yeeeah, kinda creepy.
I really wish they'd have made a ghost Eveelution. Been waiting on that one for a while.

Tbh, I don't get it. I mean the problem here is not how Sylveon looks imo but the fact that Eevee line is 87.5% male. Let's face it, only Jolteon and Umbreon look more male than not, and the other ones (barring Sylveon, look vastly more female imo.) Sure Sylveon may be the icing on the cake. But Vaporeon, Flareon, and Glaceon already made that argument.
And let's not forget the Chickorita line.

seriously though⦠About time someone has enough damn sense to agree with what I've been saying this whole time! I as a normal person should not have had to spend the last TWO DAYS breeding for a perfect female Sylveon when Eevee should not even have the gender ratio it does! Vaporeon looks unisex, Jolten looks male, Flareon looks 75% female, Espeon looks female, Umbreon looks male, Leafeon looks 75% female, Glaceon looks female, Sylveon looks 85.7% FEMALE! How the hell are Eevee not AT LEAST 50/50?
