Description
300 years and he's still wandering the Earth, searching for answers that continue to elude him. Now, his hopes lie in his only living connection to the creator he'd lost long ago. That vaguely familiar Reploid.Reploid. Since when was a robot called that?
Time has gone for far too long.

A scene from a fanfic I was writing. Or at least trying to. This features Rockman Zero and a Zero-era version of the Rockman Killer named Enker, from the Classic-era.
I tried to emulate RMZ's art style, but my own style keeps coming out; sorry about that. And I tried doing screenshot-y scenes again, hence the 'subtitles'.
Zero, Enker and Rockman belong to Capcom.

These look great! I love how your shading makes the forms look rounded, they make me think of all the cool Rockman action figures (: This is going to sound strange but I really like how you shaded Zero's nose. It just looks really nice xD Enker is adorable as always (: I really like the orange part of his helmet, on our left - that area looks particularly three-dimensional to me, it's very nice.

Maybe. I'm planning to, but I can't make any guarantees. If it's more of this story, I'd have to write more of the fanfic to have materials to work with.

btw, I've been meaning to ask, if you line art with pencils, how did the lines come out so clean? D|

Yeah. My art's easy to identify. XD I think that's a plus.
My line arts are pencil lines. I can't ink even if my life depended on it. |D How I do it is simple: going over the lines, erasing the sketchy lines, until I get a clean, seemingly-inked line art. I keep a newly-sharpened pencil next to me just for that purpose.
Further cleaning is done on Photoshop. Sometimes, bits of dirt get scanned along with my drawings, so I have to do minor adjustments digitally.

Do you use HB pencils to do the sketch?
For me, my lines tends to be messy when I sketch, and when I use the eraser to clean them, they kinda imprinted on the paper...
I wonder if this is because I'm using mechanical pencil to sketch instead of normal ones.

Ah, no. Just a regular No.1 pencil. It's what I've been using since I started drawing.
Hm, probably. I never did like the feel of mechanical pencils; they feel kinda wrong for me. Also, I've practiced enough to be able to keep a light touch on the paper so not much imprints are left when I erase. A slim pen-style eraser works wonders for the finer erasing work.

Ah... I'm not sure why it leaves a mess on my paper, it's probably the way I hold a pencil, or the kind of pencil I used to draw.
Either way, I'm trying to do clean line art without pen tool on PS (which takes forever imo) I'm not having luck, or I'm just lazy OTL.

Mhm. Try changing pencils (I use Mongol #1) and use a good-quality eraser. I use Pentel Hi-Polymer plastic erasers and Mitsubishi Uni auto-erasers, if you can find those.
Well, I'll admit my method can take hours of erasing and going over lines. |D But you'll be happy with the results. We're just lazy. XD

I want to hug that MMZ Enker, but I think he might stab me. Also i think there's no problem if your style comes out. No matter how many time I try and emulate the ZX style, I always somehow manage to keep my character's anatomy in my style. It drives me nuts.
