This is the same situation, like in "Wander over yonder" (if you know this little cartoon).
When Lord Dominator realized, she destroyed the entire Galaxy and won... she was not happy. Instead she was sad, that her playtime was over and there is noone to share her victory, only her mindless robots.
The same is going on with Chrysalis. I guess she would be sad, if all her female rivals disappear.

Well, from what I heard Celestia isn't dead, although good luck getting revenge on her now that she has forsaken this mortal plane.
Thorax is almost certainly dead, though. You might be waiting for a while if you're looking to see him again.
