Very cool. Ah, the days when I gave a shit about the WArcratf ranchis have long past, but pictures like this still make me want to go back and try WoW again, even though I know I still wouldn't enjoy it that much anymore.
You did a very good job having her face show emotion.

Very nice picture. Β This and these comments bring back memories of all those horde vs alliance flame wars on the official forums and mmo-champion. Β It was always fun to further troll alliance fansies whenever they raged that they couldn't retake Lordaeron or they couldn't completely destroy Orgrimmar, even though that would have screwed over horde players. Β They didn't care, because "we want our lore egos stroked now, blizzard". Β It was especially fun pointing out that getting mad over Theramore was silly considering it was a valid military target that staged attacks on the tauren in south barrens. Β And now it's back to the same old rage that Sylvanas still exists argument after this new forsaken vs worgen skermish in the new Legion areas. Β It never ends, and I really miss it sometimes. Β

Ahhh! Β Making me wish I could afford to get back into WoW right now! Β I've been itching to play, but I have to wait until my new computer build is finished, and my winter layoff time is up and I have funds again. T.T

And oooohhhh yes! Β At least one reason I wanted to get the computer I've been putting together is for finally being able to play WoW at max settings, and seeing it the way it's meant to be seen, not the dumbed down quality that my laptop can handle. *rubs hands together*

I love your art, the light is awesome. I played Horde and alliance in Pandaria (always do to see both sides) and this really made me sad, always loved the character of Jaina. I don't think I'll be able to put another face on her now

Nice piece here. Especially that stare into nowhere. As for "poor Jaina" part, though being an Alliance player by a strong principle i can't agree with people who pity her. Dump your boyfriend for magic, let your daddy die, run amock with your people's blood swormn enemies, freeze your own king and deny him an act of justice, and you still expect to have a happy ending with sunshine and butterflies? Not by a long shot.

Arthas broke up with her, if she sided with her dad she would be going against her own morals, and she would most likely have been killed, she didn't 'run amock' with them, she was trying to get peace, the attack on undercity was not an act of justice, the forsaken didn't order the attack at the wrath gate, it was a separate group. And up to this point, she hasn't done anything to piss off the horde it's just that garrosh didn't like any alliance on 'his continent.'

It's this part of Jaina people seem to ignore, which is sad as she has lost literally everything she held dear. Even her friends.
I speak as a Horde AND Alliance player as well, and and RP'er.

Have you not noticed how corrupted jaina has become? Yeah, Sylvanas has her flaws but she is no where as bad as the "new" Proudmoore, honestly, i get Sylvanas is evil and all but that;s because Blizz is completely changing her character, They have made so many of the villains Horde members when the Horde is actually full of really honorable people such as Thrall, Vol'jin and his father, Baine and Cairn, Sylvanas in her own different way, Lor'themar is not evil at all...but never has there been a alliance villain not because they are the "good" guys but because blizz favors them, and this is all my opinion so calling it stupid or whatnot and being childish like many others tend to do will be a waste of time.

Um, Arthas Menithil was Alliance and he was most CERTAINLY a major villain. Β I don't think of Sylvanis as completely evil, nor is Jaina, both have suffered greatly at the hands of men and both are teetering on the edge. Neither sees what she's doing as wrong, both are trying to act in the best interest of their people. Honestly they are mirrors of each other. Jaina was a very trusting soul, he was, for many years a peace maker. That was ripped from her by Hellscream just as Sylvanis life was ripped from her by Arthas.

Oh come on if any faction is getting the Blizzard love its the Horde, the next expansions and the previous two are proof of that. They've hardly made loads of Horde villain's when Thrall is getting all of the story, and Vol'jin too (to be expected he's the new warchief). Garrosh being a villain has given the Horde all this story though, so see this how you will. The Alliance has Varian being racist for ages which doesn't exactly make him some great hero, Arthas was an Alliance villain as well remember. 5.3 stuff proves this Horde love as the Horde got some amazing cut scene with loads of Horde hero's banding together in an epic battle against Garrosh's forces. Compare this to the Alliance 5.3 story line which was just about a robot cat.. -_- Blizzard in no way favours the Alliance come on, the lack of Alliance story is depressing at the moment, the Gnomes don't even have their flippin city back! We're finally getting Draenei story too, looking forward to that.. but the amount of Orc attention there is the reason many of the other races get left out. Horde races too, we could really use some Belf, Tauren and Goblin lore!
Jaina has every right to be pissed with the Horde, her whole city was nuked! Arcane crap was spilling out of her eyes and loads of her friends died. I recommend everyone read Tides of War as Christie Golden writes her brilliantly, its heartbreaking. Not only that she was then betrayed again within the Kirin Tor, as how would she know that it was a Sunreaver not another one of Garrosh's. She trusted Thrall so much that her own father died and he goes and makes a really crappy choice that resulted in her home being blown up. I can understand why she feels so pissed but I'm worried about where she's going, I love this bad ass female Alliance character and I don't want her to go evil. If you feel any compassion for Sylvanas, Jaina definitely deserves some too. She's becoming everything that she fought against and that makes me sad.Β
Sylvanas is pretty evil at the moment raising undead left right and centre, with Lor'themar even not agreeing to her raising and such. She's in the Horde because its convenient not because she feels any love for this band of misfits, unlike Vol'jin who sees the Horde as a family and as his home. Β We love Sylvanas cause she's bad ass and cool but plaguing and stuff, its not so great.
Honestly I'm worried that these are two female characters going pretty much the same corrupted way, and thats not great. Why can't a character be tested,hurt and suffer and come out of that better and stronger rather than just crumbling and go bat shit crazy? D: I understand some of us will of course suffer and come out worse for it but why these two female characters?Β

i agree kinda with your comment, and ikr i to love the lore
but, jaina had every right to be pissed at Garrosh and HIS part of the horde, but Thrall tried to help her and she still threatened to kill him. And honestly i agree blizz is changing the two most favorite female heros in the game into horrible people when they shouldn't be.
