Description The coat is made out of Cotton Twill, Stoneridge Denim and Vinyl. (will confirm the name of the vinyl in the future, I hope...) I'm making this coat so that it can also be used as a casual coat during winter.

Credits to Trujin giving a template to work off of.

Description from left to right.
1 & 2: basic picture of the front and back of the jacket. Entire inner jacket is lined with the Denim to hide the seams of the jacket.
3: the front and back is connected at the top of the shoulder like normal tees, except that in this case there are extra fabric that are flaps to the front and will be held in place via the buttons in the front.
4: I understand that outside jacket on a traditional regimental coat are fake, but since I wanted to used this as a regular jacket outside cosplaying, they are made functional for convenience.
5 & 6: The tail/flap of the coat are 4 layers of fabric, 2 layers of twill and 2 layers of denim. The triangle area is left open and are sewn together on all the other sides as you can see in picture 6.

Can you specify what materials you used i know you listed it in the description but i want to know what you used it for like for example: you used Cotton Twill for the white parts and Vinyl for the blue parts

and what kind of Vinyl you used, im also trying to make a Connor Costume.
Thank you.

the blue part is denim, jeans fabric. the vinyl is only for the brown/black area around the arm holes. Just take your pick on whichever fabric matches the color you want.

hey,

i was wondering if there was any leather used in the ''original'' coat, like it would be in real life?

I'm not too sure what you meant by "original" coat

so the blue portions are made from denim, the brown from vinyl, but what about the white portion of the coat?

I'm wondering about the pockets near the back. I've seen several coats people have made that have buttonholes but no buttons. I can't find any good reference pics with the pockets so I can't see what they look like in the game/rendered promo images. Are they supposed to not have buttons, or is that just because you haven't attached them yet?

the jacket is based off of the uniform worn during the war, normally there is a flat button I believe. link

But in this case, it is more of a design, and there are no buttons. link

we are talking about the 4th picture from the left right?

That picture is just to show that the shoulder design is a flap that flops over the front but connected on the top of the shoulder. I'll be sewing the down that flap under the blue flap area where the column of button should be. I've just been too lazy to work on it atm, don't want to deal with them buttons. xD

Sweet! That'll be really useful. Gah I wish I could just start on this already but I'm at college and don't have any room or time for a project like this.

Great progress Good solution for the flaps. I think originally in the regimental coats they just folded up, but constructing that could be a bit annoying, so I think this works really well. Looking forward to seeing everything finished!

Huh, I was looking at the Connor statue we got with out Freedom edition, and as it turns out, the fold-up bits on his jacket are actually the same as how you've made it ^^
