My submission for Lucasfilm's Star Wars artwork competition.This is Jaina and Jacen Solo from the expanded universe of Star Wars. They're the children of Han Solo and Princess Leia and Jacen eventually falls to the dark side, becoming Darth Caedus in the Second Galactic Civil War. This is really one of the saddest events to happen in the Star Wars universe.
LOL I'll bet you guys didn't know that I was a Star Wars fan in my childhood and read the Jedi Knight Academy book series extensively...
Characters belong to the authors of the New Order Jedi and Legacy era series/Lucasfilm/George Lucas. 15x20. Acrylic.

I love this image, the way Jacen's lightsaber is deactivating, Jaina's uncompromising expression, it's all just perfect!

It's a Jaina-centric personal project called Sword of the Jedi: The Musical. The visual aspect of these videos is fairly simple and slideshow-esque. Since there's very little official art of Jaina and Caedus, I'm hoping to use fan art, especially pieces that convey the emotion I'm looking for.

I did read the books, but it was quite a few years ago. Β Also, I know there are many different canons floating around, and I think I'm just not sure what he's doing with the kids so far...Β

Yeah, I went back and realized that THIS pic is of Jacen and Jaina's final battle. For some reason, I thought it was fanart of a battle between Rey and Ren. THAT'S what my comment meant. Sorry, I forgots how to reads for a momentΒ Β .
But there are similarities, like Ren being the son of Han and Leia and being trained and eventually betraying Luke Skywalker(much like Ren), and there may be a possible connection between Rey and Luke.

Β Yeah, I think Abrams has put those hints in the movie to make people start conjecturing about the connections. ^^ Β I was a bit sad that some of Jacen and Jaina's friends from Jedi Academy didn't make it into this movie-verse. Β However, Kylo does make me think of Zekk!

Oh...this is awesome...and heartrending... Beautiful work here--the movement in both figures, the steep angle and drapery...all fabulous! The lightsabers look especially good, considering it's done in traditional media (kudos for that particularly!

There's a two-year gap between "Invincible" and "Millenium Falcon". You have to wonder about the inner hell that Jaina went through during that time. And mark my words, she would have gone through it, even if they didn't show it.
