Actually, the Become Ethereal shout (which is what 'Feim' is part of) will work no matter where you're looking. Β If you use multiple words of the Shout it will last longer. Β It always makes you immune to all damage unless you try to attack something.

Use the shout called become ethereal then just jump! you don't take any damage, the effect wears of in a second and it recharges quickly

I don't use them that much since I"m afraid to get a bounty, but when I"m in the wild I use them to slay giants

I did actually do that, a couple of times, but whenever i have a quest and i think i'm going the right way i end up somewhere high on a mountain just to see my dungeon "door" somewhere down below and no water in sight >.<
