One of my .hack artwork I drew a few years back when I was playing .hack//LINK. Since I'm suddenly back in the .hack fandom thanks to .hack//Quantum and .hack//The Movie: Sekai No Mukou Ni, I finally decided to upload them in dA.When Tokio reached Shugo's timeline, Kite was already out of commission and so you can't use him in your party and I was "dang, that's reaaaaalllyyy convenient". I wanted to see what would happened if the original Kite was there during Shugo's adventure. Just because. Thus the creation of this comic. Nothing to do with me being a Kite x Aura shipper. Nope
Hmmm, but how does one trigger a time paradox in a fictional MMORPG? The "advance" logic and technology in .hack series will break your mind...in a good way XD

If I'm not mistaken, the Kite in LINK is just the data of the original Kite. It's not really the actual person since he has already retired from The World.

The .hack//LINK manga version on the other hand seems to imply that it is the original Kite but that manga got cancelled which seriously sucked.

Man, anytime I see Haseo, all I can think of is "SKIIIIIIIIIIIEEEEEEEEEEEETH!!!"
and anytime I think of Skieth, I only think of the original 4 games version of it (the....'stoned' version, haha *shot*)
and then I get confused.....that's my time for nonsense over.

Well, the .hack flow should be something like this.
1. .hack//SIGN (anime)
2. .hack//(Infection/Mutation/Outbreak/Quarantine) (PS2 game)
3. .hack//Legend of the Twilight (anime)
4. .hack//Roots (anime version) and .hack//G.U. (PS2 game version)
5. .hack//LINK (PSP game)
6. .hack//Quantum (anime)
7. .hack//Beyond The World (movie)
The important main ones are number 1, 2, 4, and 5. The rest, in my opinion, are like side stories to the .hack franchise. Number 2, 4 and 5 have their manga version by the way.
