Lillian prefers to be called Lily. She has a very bright personality and enjoys helping anyone out if they're having difficulties with anything (from emotional problems to helping them carry their supplies). Despite her friendliness, she prefers not to talk about her personal life, specifically her past. She's intolerant to people who don't care about others or just ignorant people in general. Although she smiles very often, it's only a mask she puts in front of people, even her closest friends. Only her partner knows about this who is also the only person she confides in. She's a relatively calm person who doesn't snap at anyone when angry or irritated. When she does express her anger or sorrow, she plays the piano or sings to relieve stress. Otherwise, it's very rare for her to display it in public, if she does it's when something has crossed the line for her, or her bottled up emotions decide to burst. Lily tends to be a very curious person, and it doesn't help that Gummymon helps feed that curiosity so she occasionally makes acquaintances with someone through questioning, rather than introductions. She has difficult time learning how to become attached to someone, nevertheless, she is never reluctant to make friends.

Lillian's parents met when her mother was abroad for her studies in the UK, neither of them planned for their encounter but their friendship grew into something else during their college years and they eventually married. Lily was born in Wales, the birthplace of her father. She grew up in Wales until 10, she was requested to return home by her family to see her own, new, family. Once they arrived in Japan, her father loved with the new sights and decided to settle down there. Thanks to her mother's family's connections, her father was able to get a new job in the city while her mother stayed at their rural home with her daughter to teach her more Japanese (since her mother taught her the basics when she lived in Wales). Lily was used to the rural lifestyle anyway; she lived in a friendly village in Wales and did the same in Japan. It was only through her friends that she started to take rides to the city to hang out with them there. She was originally blonde haired when she was younger but due to unwanted attention it brought she dyed her hair into a darker, brown color. Over time, the dye faded away and her hair faded into the color it is now.

Not too soon after she arrived, she had her first encounter with her digimon partner as she was playing a simple game on her cell phone. After the first couple of stages, her digimon appeared to be digivolving and her phone started to glow and flash. Unexpectedly, Terriermon appeared and introduced himself to the bewildered Lily. Even though she was young, (around 12 years of age), she read enough articles online to know about the digimon partnerships and was excited that she became one of the chosen to get a partner. She attempted to keep him a secret from her family, but it wasn't long until her mother found her playing with Gummymon, Terriermon's previous form. Surprised, she immediately told her to get rid of the creature, but Lily managed to convince her mother that it meant no harm and is very kind, unlike the villainous Digimon they hear on the news all the time. Her mother was cautious, but eventually gave in, allowing her to keep Gummymon.

Like every other girl Lily's age, she had become interested in what it must have been like to have a significant other. When she turned fifteen, she had her very first boyfriend. He was very kind and sweet, he understood how important Gummymon was to her and often allowed him to accompany them on their dates. The two dated for a while and were inseparable. Their happiness ended suddenly one day, the day that changed Lily. During one of their dates, one of the dark Digimon appeared and started to wreck havoc in the center they were in. Alarmed, the three started to flee the area, but they happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. The Digimon started to fling objects of debris towards the citizens and Lily's boyfriend used himself as a shield to protect her and Gummymon, shoving her out of the way. When Lily realized what happened, she quickly ran over to aid her loved one who was barely conscious. Because of her desperation, Gummymon quickly digivolved into Terriormon to blow the debris laying ontop of Lily's boyfriend. They quickly rushed him to the emergency room, but it was too late.

Torn by her loss, Lily secluded herself away from everyone but Gummymon. She avoided contact with her friends and family. She found comfort in playing the piano and just being with her digimon. The strong bond of friendship between herself and Gummymon helped her get through her difficult times, hence her friendship shard. Eventually, time and her bond with her partner managed to mend things to the point where she decided to do something worthwhile in her life instead of sitting around and sulking. It's been seven months since the death of her boyfriend and she managed to get back in touch with her friends and family, learn first aid and start to become her cheerful self again. Gummymon knows, however, that she's still upset with the matter and always tries to protect her whenever someone brings up any of her sensitive topics.

Her father came home one day and told Lily about The Sol, The Lune and The Astra. She instantly wanted to join and her parents allowed her to, happy that she became passionate about something again. Lily wanted to join to learn how she and Gummymon could become stronger to prevent anything from happening to anyone's loved ones. In the last couple of months, Lily recently moved out of her house in the rural parts of Japan and started to live in her father’s apartment in the city, in attempt to have a fresh, new start and meet people who don't know about her past. When her father is away at work (which is quite often since he’s a business man) she often drops by The Lune’s campuses.

Gummymon is very outgoing and tends to get over confident about himself. He dislikes the fact that Lily goes outside with a mask on everyday to hide her internal conflicts, but he's always there to support her whenever she feels the need to vent out her feelings. Ever since the incident with her boyfriend, he feels as if he needs to become stronger to make sure that nothing like that would ever happen to anyone close to her again because he feels as if it was his fault. He's very protective over her and would cut in on anyone who talks about anything that might be sensitive to Lily. He's very clever and tends to make sarcastic remarks from time to time to whoever irritates him or Lily. Gummymon has a very bad habit of following Lily where ever she goes and she often has to reassure him that during her trip to the restroom she won't manage to hurt herself somehow. Otherwise, Gummymon is very friendly to anyone who doesn't prove a threat towards himself or his partner, making sure to always cheer her up.
